About the Role
We are currently recruiting Children s Residential Support Workers to support children and young people within residential settings in the area of Newcastle, Sunderland, and durham. This is a rewarding role where you will play a key part in supporting vulnerable children and young people to feel safe, valued, and empowered.

As a support worker, you will work alongside experienced teams within children s residential settings, helping to provide a stable, nurturing, and supportive environment. Your role will involve supporting young people with their daily routines, emotional wellbeing, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting children and young people in residential care settings

• Promoting a safe, nurturing, and structured environment

• Assisting with daily routines including activities, education, and appointments

• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

• Building positive and trusting relationships with young people

• Working as part of a team to maintain safeguarding and care standards

• Completing accurate records and reports where required

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months experience working with children or young people in a residential setting (preferred)

• A passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people

• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection

• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Right to work in the UK

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

• Full UK driving licence

• Physical intervention training
