Sheet Metal Worker Manufacturing Up to 28,000 Early finish on Fridays Maldon area

A well-established UK manufacturer near Maldon is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join their busy fabrication workshop. This hands-on role offers the chance to work within a close-knit team, gain experience across varied production tasks, and develop your skills through training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Producing sheet metal parts to engineering drawings, or assisting others in part production
• Operating fabrication equipment including shear, CNC punch, notcher and similar machinery
• Working collaboratively with the fabrication team to meet production targets
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
• Packing finished goods and delivering items to a nearby site using a company vehicle
• Operating machinery under supervision at first, with training to work independently
• Supporting all day-to-day operations within a busy sheet metal fabrication environment

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in a busy manufacturing and production environment, or demonstrable transferable skills
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
• Physically fit, as the role involves manual handling
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Full training (both in-house and external) will be provided for the successful candidate.
