BACKGROUND TO THE ROLELocal Partnerships is a public sector consultancy jointly owned by HM Treasury and the Local Government Association. We work with central and local government to improve public services, support value for money and deliver better outcomes for places and communities. We offer support across England and Wales to local authorities and other public sector organisations to accelerate the scale and pace of the delivery of climate response and energy programmes and projects.
As we scale towards £20m+ revenue and 120 staff, we are investing in our leadership and infrastructure to support sustainable growth.
Working as part of our Climate team, the successful candidate will provide strategic technical insights and management expertise in the circular economy, resources, and waste sectors. Working collaboratively, you will help shape discussions, offering a bridge between national government, local authorities, and industry. We focus on upskilling teams and building capacity to meet the growing complexity and demands of the sector in the coming years, so knowledge transfer of complex written and analytical information to the client is a key part of the role, and excellent communication skills are vital.
About the roleDirectors are responsible for supporting the successful delivery of activity within specific teams for Local Partnerships, ensuring that the objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints. Likely to hold sector specific knowledge at a detailed level and be able to apply that knowledge to a variety of scenarios. Full details are contained within the job description.
Directors may be based anywhere in the UK. They will need to travel to clients' offices across England and Wales.
