The Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced paralegal or law graduate with a strong interest in criminal law
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex matters clearly
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure
  • Personable, client-focused, and professional
  • Comfortable working digitally and in-office
  • Full clean driving licence and access to a car is preferable

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a full caseload from instruction to conclusion, covering criminal, regulatory, and POCA matters
  • Work closely with senior solicitors on privately and publicly funded cases
  • Handle cases ranging from Summary offences to serious Crown Court matters
  • Maintain accurate, compliant file management, including monthly reviews
  • Draft client letters, statements, and briefs for counsel
  • Liaise with clients via in-person meetings, telephone, and video conferencing
  • Instruct and liaise with experts as required
  • Support the out-of-hours on-call rota, including evenings and weekends
  • If not already accredited, receive support and training to become a qualified Police Station Representative
