Social Media and Content Officer

Location: Canary Wharf, hybrid (1 day per week in office)
Contract: Temporary, ongoing
Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week over 3 days
Salary: £17.42 per hour + holiday (£31,800 salaried FTE)
Start Date: ASAP

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting our client in their search for a temporary Social Media and Content Officer. This role is part-time and temporary, working with an organisation that is a leading global charity focusing on research and advocacy for those living with diabetes.

Responsibilities:

• Create and post targeted daily content across the organisation's social media channels
• Work with fundraising and community engagement colleagues to develop compelling content that boosts awareness and sign-ups
• Monitor and response to enquiries across platforms, ensuring timely and supportive communication
• Track and engage the activity of partner organisations, influencers, and supporters
• Check and support with reports and other organisational written content, including website FAQs, promoting accuracy and consistency

Requirements:

• Recent experience in a similar role within the not-for-profit sector
• Strong design and content creation skills, with confidence using digital design tools
• Robust knowledge of social media, and confidence posting across varied platforms
• Ability to develop creative and engaging content, with high attention to detail
• Understanding and appreciation of accessibility, brand guidelines, safeguarding, and handling sensitive/emotional communications
• Excellent communication, especially written, and interpersonal skills
• Good time management and organisational ability
