Location: County Durham (with some local travel)
Salary: £14,196 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Part-time, fixed-term 1 year (with potential for extension subject to funding)

Anxious Minds is a registered charity delivering specialist, accredited mental health support to veterans, serving personnel, families, and carers across the North East of England. We are independently accredited through the Quality Network for Veterans Mental Health Services (QNVMHS) and deliver the Veteran Recovery College, an evidence-based, recovery-focused model supporting veterans to improve mental wellbeing, build resilience, and regain purpose.
The Role
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Peer Support Worker to join the Veteran Recovery College team in County Durham. This role is central to our recovery model and is ideally suited to someone with lived experience of the Armed Forces and/or mental health recovery who wishes to support others through shared understanding, hope, and empowerment.
You will work directly with veterans and their families, providing practical and emotional peer support, co-facilitating recovery courses, and helping individuals engage with services and community resources.
