Air Source Heat Pump Engineer / Gas Engineer (ASHP) Location : Essex/Herts - (SG/CM/EN/AL) Job Type : Full-time, Permanent Sector : Renewable Energy / Domestic Heating / Gas & Heat Pumps Job Description We are currently recruiting an experienced Air Source Heat Pump Engineer (ASHP Engineer) with domestic gas qualifications to join our established heating and renewables team. This role is primarily focused on air source heat pump servicing, fault finding, maintenance, and repair, with additional responsibility for domestic gas boiler servicing and breakdowns across private residential properties in the Essex/Herts area (SG/CM/EN/AL) This position suits a skilled ASHP / Gas Engineer with strong diagnostic ability, electrical fault-finding experience, and a solid background in domestic heating systems. Key Responsibilities Service, maintain, and repair air source heat pump systems (ASHP) Fault finding and diagnostics on heat pump systems Domestic gas boiler servicing, safety checks, and minor repairs Breakdown response across ASHP and gas heating systems Electrical fault finding on heating and heat pump systems System upgrades, component replacement, and remedial works Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) Warranty and insurance repair work General plumbing work related to domestic heating systems Provide clear technical explanations and customer support Essential Skills & Qualifications Domestic gas qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1 Proven experience as a Domestic Gas Engineer Hands-on experience with air source heat pump servicing, fault finding, or repairs Formal ASHP qualification (Level 3 Heat Pump / manufacturer training) Electrical fault-finding experience Strong plumbing and domestic heating knowledge Full UK driving licence Good customer-facing and communication skills Desirable (Not Essential) Commercial gas qualifications or experience Boiler installation experience LPG qualifications Renewable energy background beyond ASHP Salary & Benefits Company van and fuel card Company tablet and mobile phone Uniform, tools, and FGA provided 29 days annual leave, increasing with length of service Pension scheme Overtime available Ongoing renewables and heat pump training Long-term career progression within the renewable sector

Plumber / Bathroom Fitter 35k- 40k Basic Salary (subject to experience) + Company Van + Overtime + Benefits Location - Winchester Alecto Recruitment Ltd is currently seeking an experienced and fully qualified Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join one of our clients who are a leading and well-established provider of Plumbing, Heating and Renewable Energy solutions with over 40 years' industry experience. Our client work mainly in high-end luxury houses and large domestic houses, although do also cover some new build sites as well as light commercial work. We are looking for someone commutable to areas such as Winchester, Southampton, Andover, Basingstoke etc. Job Summary: Mainly responsible for working in high-end luxury residential properties and covering a range of plumbing and heating services, installation work, 1st fix, 2nd fix etc. Our client are involved in a range of sectors from general plumbing work such as bathroom installations through to gas boiler work, oil, air source heat pumps, underfloor heating and ventilation. Therefore you will need to be comfortable with a mixture of work, and a lot of bathroom, plumbing and heating work predominantly.
