Senior Global Learning and Development Manager

Location: Remote role, can be based anywhere in the UK

A global market leader in automotive technical services is seeking a Senior Global Learning and Development Manager to design, implement and embed a new global framework for technician training, development and assessment. This role will transform how technicians learn, grow and deliver excellence, ensuring consistency and quality across all regions.

This is a high impact global leadership role designed for someone who excels in building world class training standards across diverse countries and cultures. You will shape the future of technician development by defining and embedding a unified global framework that improves safety, quality, confidence and capability across thousands of technicians worldwide.

What You'll Lead
  • Development and implementation of a global Technician Training, Development & Assessment framework.
  • Partnership with multiple countries to support adoption, change management and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluation of current training models, identifying gaps and driving standardisation of mandatory elements.
  • Creation of a global measurement framework to track effectiveness, speed of training and impact on key KPIs such as safety, quality, engagement and operational performance.
  • Championing digital learning tools, analytics and innovative training solutions.
  • Identifying new technologies and approaches to enhance the technician learning journey.
Experience required
  • Leadership experience in global training, technical operations or a multi country technical environment.
  • Strong grounding in adult learning principles, instructional design and assessment methodologies.
  • Experience delivering large scale training programmes and leading multicultural, cross functional teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
  • A strategic mindset balanced with hands on execution.
  • Ideally experience in automotive, field operations or related technical industries however my client is open to broader sectors if you can evidence creating a training framework globally with tangible results and metrics.
