Job Description

Our client, a dedicated youth charity, seeks a committed Youth Worker to support young people in schools and communities at risk of exclusion, in need of mental health support, or at risk of serious youth violence. The role involves one-on-one mentoring, after-school activities, and holiday programmes.The role You will work with young people across east London in a mixture of schools and community settings.Please note: this is an outreach community based role, and you will cover the East London patch which includes Barking, Dagenham, Havering, and Redbridge.
  • Build trusting relationships, encouraging safe, positive choices.
  • Improve attendance, behaviour, and academic performance.
  • Create engaging workshops and activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents, schools, and professionals.
  • Provide relevant advice to young people.
  • Maintain accurate records for funders.
