Security Officer

Reports To: Head of Security & Infrastructure, Security Account Manager, Security Shift Manager

Job type: 42 hours per week

Salary: £14.70 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Security Officer to join the team at Here East.

Provide a safe and secure environment for all staff, tenants, visitors, students and contractors, following instructions from Security Control Room and the designated Shift Manager. Be able to lead with a service excellence approach to all customers in line with the site Assignment Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.

• Service excellence to all customers
• Internal and external patrols of the 1.2 million sq ft campus, escalating all hazards or untoward activity Security Control Room (SCR)
• External static duties to heighten presence (being physically capable of standing for long periods of time)
• First Aid and First Responder duties
• Fire Marshal and refuge assistance duties
• Banksman and vehicle management
• Event support
• Loading Bay and Dock Office Duties
• Problem-solving and a proactive approach to duties
• Manual handling and moving items (such as barriers) when required
