Job Title: Architectural Technician (12M FTC)

Location: Lancaster

Salary: 27-37,000 DOE

An established and highly respected architectural practice based in Lancaster is seeking a talented Architectural Technician to join their team on an initial 12-month fixed term contract.

The Role

As an Architectural Technician, you will play an important role in supporting project delivery by producing high-quality technical information and ensuring designs are accurately translated into construction-ready documentation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing detailed technical and construction drawings
  • Developing accurate and compliant drawing packages in collaboration with architects and designers
  • Utilising CAD software to support project development and delivery
  • Ensuring all documentation complies with building regulations, technical standards, and construction requirements
  • Supporting project coordination and contributing to the smooth progression of projects

Candidates should ideally already live within commuting distance of Lancaster.



The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical capability alongside a collaborative and proactive approach to project work.

You will ideally have:

  • A strong understanding of architectural technology and construction principles
  • Experience producing technical and construction drawings
  • Proficiency in CAD software (experience with Vectorworks would be beneficial)
  • Good knowledge of UK building regulations and technical standards
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • A degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related discipline (preferred)
  • Previous experience within the architecture or construction sector
