Asbestos Analyst

Our client is a leading Asbestos Consultancy seeking an experienced and qualified Asbestos Analyst to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who is passionate about maintaining high safety standards and delivering accurate, compliant analytical services within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
Conducting 4-stage clearances in accordance with HSG248 guidelines
Performing air monitoring, background, reassurance, and personal air testing
Carrying out visual inspections and producing detailed clearance certificates
Ensuring full compliance with UK asbestos legislation and Health & Safety Executive (HSE) regulations
Accurately completing site reports and submitting documentation in a timely manner
Liaising professionally with clients, site operatives, and management teams
Maintaining and calibrating equipment in line with company and legal standards
Supporting wider operational teams where required

Experience & Skills Required
Experience:
Previous experience working in an Asbestos Analyst role is essential
Proven track record of conducting 4-stage clearances independently

Health & Safety Focus:
Strong working knowledge of asbestos Health & Safety procedures
Clear understanding of HSE guidance and industry best practice

Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate reports

Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience using Microsoft Teams is advantageous
Comfortable using electronic reporting systems/tablets

Personal Attributes:

Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible and adaptable mindset

Qualifications
BOHS P403 & P404 certificates (essential)
or
Equivalent RSPH qualifications
