This role, titled Head of Talent, is a newly established senior position responsible for leading the Talent Centre of Excellence across the UK and internationally, including regions such as Ireland, Europe, and South Africa. Reporting to the senior HR leadership team, the position involves developing and implementing a cohesive talent strategy focusing on attraction, development, performance, and the future workforce's capabilities. The role requires balancing regional consistency with local needs, adapting global frameworks, and creating scalable, data-driven talent solutions.
The primary responsibilities include defining and executing a comprehensive talent strategy across various geographies, ensuring alignment with business priorities and future capability requirements. The role involves strategic workforce planning in collaboration with HR Business Partners and senior leaders, as well as monitoring internal and external talent trends. It oversees talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and the talent review process. Additionally, the position is tasked with leading learning and leadership development strategies and shaping a compelling employer brand for international talent attraction.
This position requires significant experience in leading a Talent or Centre of Excellence function within a complex, multi-country organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic capabilities combined with practical delivery experience, and expertise in workforce planning, leadership development, and talent analytics. The candidate must also have a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders within a matrix environment, with an adaptable and commercially focused mindset. Experience in IT/Tech or SAAS companies is preferred but not essential. Furthermore, the role includes utilizing talent analytics and emerging AI capabilities, managing budgets, and leading diversity and inclusion reporting. The candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team and act as a senior advisor to HR and business leaders.
