Operations Director

New Resource Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturing business for an experienced Opertions Director to take full responsibility for site operations and performance.

This is a key leadership role, ideal for someone with strong experience in food production environments, continuous improvement, and managing multi-department teams.

The Role

As Operations Director, you will oversee all daily operations across the manufacturing facility, ensuring production targets are met efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and health & safety.

You will manage senior department leads across:

• Production & Hygiene

• Engineering

• Projects

• Operations Administration

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations and site performance

• Deliver production targets, efficiency improvements and cost control

• Ensure compliance with food manufacturing standards and regulations

• Drive continuous improvement and process optimisation

• Manage site budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities

• Produce and manage CAPEX proposals including ROI analysis

• Ensure equipment maintenance and site reliability

• Lead, develop and motivate management teams

• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality and accountability

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Business Administration (or similar)

• Proven senior management experience within Food Manufacturing

• Strong knowledge of production, quality control, audits and compliance

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Strong financial awareness and budget management experience

• Experience delivering continuous improvement projects
