Are you an Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in your career?

We re working in partnership with a Tier One Property Services Contractor delivering high-volume reactive maintenance works across residential and public sector portfolios in Slough. Due to continued growth and long-term contract wins, they re looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant QS looking to step up into a full QS role within a supportive, structured environment that offers genuine career progression.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of reactive maintenance contracts, ensuring financial performance, compliance, and value delivery across a busy and fast-paced workstream.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing subcontractor procurement and payments

• Preparing and submitting valuations and variations

• Cost reporting and forecasting

• Supporting month-end CVR processes

• Ensuring contractual compliance

• Liaising with operational teams to maximise commercial performance

• Experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant QS role

• Background in reactive maintenance, social housing, or property services (desirable)

• NHF Schedule of Rates experience will be highly advantageous

• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills

• Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively

• Ambitious and keen to progress within a leading contractor

This role would particularly suit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to take ownership of their own workstream with the support of an experienced Senior QS and Commercial Manager.
