A well established environmental monitoring and gas detection manufacturer is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover London and the South East.
The business designs, manufactures and supports fixed continuous gas detection and environmental monitoring systems used across sewage treatment works, defence estates, facilities management, semiconductor plants and university clean rooms.
Originally family founded in the 1980s, the company is now part of a major international technology group with global backing, while still operating with the culture and visibility of a close knit engineering team.
The Role
You will manage your own diary and work across a varied client base, primarily within the M25 and surrounding counties.
Duties include:
Service, calibration, fault finding and commissioning of fixed gas detection systems
Preparation for works including reviewing scope and ensuring correct parts and test gases
Completing job sheets, time sheets and stock records
Maintaining mobile van stock and equipment
Occasional installation and commissioning support
This is a role for someone who enjoys autonomy, takes pride in their work and wants to be trusted to deliver.
About You
You may already have experience in fixed gas detection.
However, strong transferable experience from electrical or electronic field service is very welcome.
You will ideally have:
Experience as a Field Service Engineer working independently
Electrical or electronic fault finding skills
Confidence managing paperwork and digital reporting
A clean UK driving licence
Good time management and self motivation
CSCS is required, though support will be given to obtain this if needed. Additional training such as Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height or IPAF can be provided.
Full product training will be delivered in house.
