About the role The Program Director - Technology will lead the execution of strategic, cross-functional technology programs that drive business transformation and innovation. This role requires strong technical acumen, stakeholder management, and program governance expertise. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex initiatives in fast-paced, agile environments and mentoring program teams to achieve delivery excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership & Execution
    • Drive end-to-end delivery of high-impact technology programs aligned with business goals.
    • Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to define program scope, milestones, and success metrics.
    • Ensure timely execution across multiple concurrent initiatives with a focus on quality and scalability.
  • Team & Stakeholder Management
    • Lead and mentor a team of Program Managers and technical project leads.
    • Serve as the primary escalation point for program risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges.
    • Foster strong relationships with senior stakeholders across engineering, product, and business units.
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Implement program governance frameworks and delivery standards tailored to technology environments.
    • Ensure adherence to architecture principles, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting
    • Track program KPIs, engineering velocity, and budget adherence.
    • Deliver executive-level dashboards and insights to leadership.
    • Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and data-driven analysis.
  • Risk & Change Management
    • Identify and mitigate risks across the technology program portfolio.
    • Lead change management efforts to support adoption of new platforms, tools, and processes.
  • Vendor & Partner Oversight
    • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
    • Ensure SLAs, performance metrics, and contractual obligations are met.
Qualifications
  • Education
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
    • MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus
  • Experience
    • 8-10 years of experience in program management, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role within a technology organization.
    • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, cross-functional technology programs.
  • Skills & Competencies
    • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and cloud-native architectures.
    • Expertise in Agile, Scrum, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
    • Proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and collaboration platforms.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to influence and drive alignment across technical and non-technical teams.
Working Conditions
  • Full-time role with flexibility to support global teams and time zones.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • May involve rotational shifts or on-call support depending on program needs.
