We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to support a commercial property portfolio in Southampton on an initial 4-week contract.
This role will focus on ensuring the smooth operational delivery of both hard and soft FM services, maintaining compliance, and supporting the wider property management function.
The successful candidate must be able to hit the ground running and manage day-to-day facilities operations with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the delivery of hard and soft FM services across the portfolio
Manage external contractors and service providers
Ensure statutory compliance (H&S, fire safety, asbestos, water hygiene, etc.)
Conduct site inspections and ensure SLA/KPI adherence
Support service charge budget control and contractor cost management
Handle reactive maintenance issues and escalation management
Liaise with tenants regarding building-related matters
Maintain accurate compliance documentation and reporting
Support minor works coordination where required
Requirements
Proven experience as a Facilities Manager within a commercial property environment
Strong understanding of compliance and statutory obligations
Experience managing contractors and service level agreements
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
IOSH / NEBOSH (desirable)
Immediate or short notice availability
