Our client, a well-established and reputable independent automotive company with 100 years of experience, is looking for an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join their highly valued team in Cannock. The company has a strong reputation for providing top-quality service and building lasting customer relationships.
Due to increasing customer demand and the growing complexity of modern vehicles, they are seeking an experienced technician who can contribute immediately. The role will primarily involve MOT testing, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including electric and hybrid models.
Senior Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester Role and Responsibilities:
Conduct MOT testing to the highest standards
Perform a wide range of vehicle repairs and services, including clutch repairs, cam belt replacements, and timing chain services
Work on both traditional and electric/hybrid vehicles
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues across all vehicle types
Ensure all vehicles are inspected and serviced according to manufacturer specifications and legal requirements
Maintain accurate records for inspections, services, and repairs
Assist in mentoring and training junior technicians
Adhere to health and safety procedures and maintain an organized workshop
Senior Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester Skills and Experience:
Previous experience as a Senior Vehicle Technician with MOT testing qualifications (Essential)
Strong mechanical repair skills, including experience with electric and hybrid vehicles
Excellent diagnostic skills and attention to detail
MOT tester certification (Essential)
A positive, proactive attitude and a team player mentality
Ability to mentor and support junior technicians
Full UK driving license (Essential)
