Equans are recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor to be based in Long Bennington, to supervise works on heating systems, including Air Source Heat Pumps across the region within social housing. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. General Overview The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and delivery of mechanical works on site to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This includes overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and pipework. The postholder acts as the key link between site management, subcontractors, and the workforce to ensure that all mechanical activities comply with company procedures, industry standards, and statutory regulations. What will you deliver? Supervise and coordinate all mechanical installation works on site, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and health and safety requirements. Plan and allocate work to mechanical operatives and subcontractors, monitoring progress and resolving issues that may impact project delivery. Carry out quality inspections, ensuring mechanical systems meet project standards and client expectations. Liaise with Project Managers, Site Managers, and other discipline supervisors to coordinate multi-trade activities. Support commissioning processes and ensure accurate documentation, including test sheets and handover records. Identify and report any design or technical issues to engineering teams for resolution. Ensure all works are undertaken in line with method statements, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems. Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to apprentices and junior team members.
