Senior Manager, Taxonomies and Master Data Management

Location: London / Sheffield / Hybrid Working

(Expectation that you will attend an office 2 days per week)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week/flexible days and/or hours (Mon-Fri)

Salary: Up to £65,000 (Sheffield) / Up to £77,500 (London) depending on experience.

The Role

In this role you will lead a team of colleagues and oversee strategic embedding of data and metadata processes and capabilities. These will include data domain management, data sourcing, glossaries, data taxonomies and reference data operations, strategic data sourcing. This is a strategic role at the centre of our data transformation, ensuring our organisation can trust, understand, and confidently use its most critical data.

What you'll do
  • Lead a specialist team delivering taxonomies, glossaries, reference data and data sourcing standards
  • Establish authoritative systems of record and ensure data is well defined and trusteddefined and trusted
  • Identify and manage risks across the data landscape
  • Drive strategic data sourcing and ensure clarity of data origin and lineage
  • Implement and integrate data management tools across the enterprise
  • Partner with teams across BBB to align processes, improve consistency and deliver efficiencies
What you'll bring
  • Significant experience in taxonomy, metadata, or data sourcing leadership
  • Proven delivery of data management capabilities in financial services or government
  • Strong knowledge of DAMA, EDMC/DCAM or similar frameworks
  • Expertise in logical data modelling and data normalisation
  • Experience in data risk assessments, control testing and process documentation
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead high performing teamsperforming teams
