Forklift Driver
Location: Southminster
Pay Rate: 13.44 - 14.71
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07.00-19.00
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Prime Appointments are currently recruiting for a Forklift Driver to join a busy company based in Southminster. Must be able to drive and have own transport, due to location.

Responsibilities:

• Operate the Loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.
• Operate Loader controls to lower and tilt bucket and drive forward to force bucket into bulk material; Move lever to raise and tilt bucket when filled, or to dump material.
• Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
• Operate Loader on public or private roadways, maintaining proper awareness of ones surroundings.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the Loader.
• Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Loader.
• Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Fork Lift Truck and attachments qualifications
• Loader Driver qualifications if available
• Tele Handler driver qualifications if available
• Working at heights
• Lifting and handling
• Team player
• Basic engineering knowledge would be a plus
• Good communication skills

• Competitive hourly rate of 13.44- 14.71 on nights
• Work days one week then every other week nights with a weekend off
• Monday to Sunday 07.00-19:00
