Upholsterer

Our client in Blackburn is looking to recruit an Upholsterer for a permanent role out of their manufacturing and distribution site.

The role will involve:

• Upholstering various furniture frames including sofa beds, chairs, sofas and beds
• Using materials including leathers, velvets and high-end fabrics
• Checking work orders to determine amount of material needed
• Following drawings and designs
• Deep buttoning, piping and finishing
• Measure and cutting of materials

The working times and pay:

• Monday to Friday
• 07:30-16:30 and 07:30-12:30 on Fridays (Part-time can be considered)
• 39 hours per week after breaks
• 13.00 - 15.00 per hour dependent on experience, reviewed after 3 months
• 12 week temp to perm role

Skills/Experience Needed:

• Previous upholstery experience with sofas and beds essential
• 2-3 years upholstery experience
• Worked in the same industry recently or within the last 3 years
• Ability to read designs, measure materials and cut where needed
