Bench Joiner

A medium sized manufacturer of POS products for the retail industry based just outside of South Woodham Ferrers are looking for a Bench Joiner to add to their team.

This is a role for someone experienced in making and assembling cabinets, using saws, edge banders, sanders etc.

The hours of work are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. The hourly rate for the role is up to 16ph.

Overtime is x1.33 after 42 hours worked.

Bench Joiner / Wood Machinist duties below:-

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood components accurately
• Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications
• Operate woodworking machinery (e.g., saws, edge bender , sanders, drilling machines)
• Construct items such as cabinets, FSU , and bespoke units
• Ensure products meet quality standards and client specifications
• Perform repairs or modifications to existing structures
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times
• Knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials
• Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Capability to lift heavy materials when required
• Exposure to dust and noise (PPE required)
