Dual Site Technical Manager

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Technical Manager to lead the technical function across two high-performing food manufacturing sites in the North West.

The Dual Site Technical Manager will be responsible for delivering technical excellence, ensuring full compliance with customer, legal, and food safety standards, and driving a culture of continuous improvement across both locations.

This role requires a strong strategic mindset combined with hands-on leadership, enabling alignment of technical operations, quality standards, and supply chain integrity across both sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a cohesive technical strategy across both sites aligned to business objectives.

• Lead food safety, quality, legality, and authenticity standards in line with BRCGS and customer requirements.

• Ensure robust HACCP systems are maintained, reviewed, and continuously improved.

• Lead internal and external audits, including retailer, third-party, and regulatory inspections.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality systems and technical KPIs.

• Act as the primary technical escalation point for both sites.

• Oversee supplier approval, risk assessment, and raw material specifications.

• Manage customer technical relationships, ensuring service levels and compliance standards are met.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Significant experience in a senior technical leadership role within food manufacturing (multi-site experience desirable).

• Strong working knowledge of BRCGS standards and retailer codes of practice.

• A track record of developing high-performing technical teams.

• Strong problem-solving capability with a proactive and strategic approach.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
