The Opportunity

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Trainee Hinge Joint Operator to join a well-established company in Wellingborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment and are keen to contribute to a growing business.

You'll be reporting directly to the Production Manager.

• Ensure that equipment is set in accordance with setting instructions to meet production plans,

• Prepare and organise production runs in accordance with production plans provided,

• Maintain the machine if approved to do so, and repair machinery breakdowns,

• Pack product being produced and ensure presentation is of a high standard and correctly labelled,

• Follow all Health & Safety procedures at all times.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to meet daily production targets.

• Candidates must demonstrate strong initiative and the ability to think on their feet.

Ideally You Will Have

• Have a minimum of 2 years' machine operating experience in a fast moving manufacturing environment.
• Have excellent communication skills with a methodical approach to team work.
• Be flexible and have experience of continuous improvement.
• Be able to demonstrate an aptitude to learn, be self motivated and be capable of lending support and encouragement to team members.
• Be organised to be able to cope with multiple tasks and priorities in a fast moving environment with a high commitment to quality.
• Above average numerical and literacy skills.
• Be able to operate lifting equipment.
• Have the ability to use calipers and micrometer measuring equipment.
• Ability to heavy lift.
