Senior Building Surveyor - London

Role Overview

MAC Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our Leeds office. This is a senior, client-facing role delivering high-quality building consultancy services across a diverse range of projects. You will provide technical leadership, manage client relationships, and support the development of junior team members.

Responsibilities

Deliver professional building surveying services including condition surveys, defect diagnosis and technical reporting

Lead refurbishment, maintenance and remedial works projects from inception to completion

Act as Contract Administrator and/or Employers Agent under JCT contracts

Prepare specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation

Provide strategic advice on asset condition, compliance and lifecycle planning

Manage client relationships and provide clear reporting and advice

Mentor and support junior surveyors, graduates and APC candidates

Qualifications/Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline

MRICS (or actively working towards with relevant experience)

Strong knowledge of UK construction methods and building pathology

Proven consultancy experience

Excellent communication and leadership skills
