Job Description

A well-established courier and freight forwarding company have an immediate requirement for an experience Sales Manager to join them.

Location: Frimley, GU16 7QH - office-based initially, with flexibility and hybrid working considered once established

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

They are seeking a commercially driven Sales Manager to support continued growth across our UK courier and international freight-forwarding services. This is a hands-on, autonomous role with a strong focus on new business development, supported by ongoing account management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and convert new business across UK courier, same-day and express delivery, and international air, sea, and road freight
  • Take full ownership of lead generation through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market engagement
  • Develop and grow a portfolio of new and existing client accounts
  • Prepare and present tailored logistics solutions aligned to customer requirements
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms while protecting margin
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline with clear forecasting
  • Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
  • Represent the business professionally at client meetings and industry events

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or courier sales
  • Strong new business development capability
  • Commercially astute with a solid understanding of pricing and margin
  • Confident, credible, and comfortable operating autonomously
  • Organised, resilient, and target driven

Package

  • Salary £40,000-£45,000 basic, dependent on experience
  • £5,000 car allowance
  • Commission structure linked to revenue performance
  • Pension scheme
