Hours: Permanent, 37.5 hrs p/w, office-based with flexibility for remote work. Part time applications will be considered. Office hours: 9-5.30pm with early closing on Fridays.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and capable Probate Solicitor to join our dedicated Legacy Department. In this role, you will manage a varied caseload across wills, probate and estate administration, providing clients and their families with professional, compassionate and sensitive support at significant moments in their lives.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, as well as liaising with external law firms and professional partners, you will play an integral role in ensuring a seamless and high-quality service. With autonomy over your own matters, you will also contribute to the continued growth and development of the Department.

Person Specification
  • Up to 3 years' post qualification experience as a solicitor or legal executive is essential.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Ability to prepare clear and accurate capital and income accounts.
  • Excellent organisational and file management skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Collaborative team player with initiative and self motivation.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Compassion, patience, discretion, and sensitivity when dealing with clients.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and operating CRM systems, such as Salesforce.
  • Knowledge (or willingness to learn) about Jewish customs and practices around bereavement.
