Job Overview

The client is seeking a Head of HR to build the people infrastructure necessary for an expanding multi site consumer services business experiencing national growth. This senior HR leadership position requires close partnership with the executive team as the business expands across the UK. The role involves shaping and executing a pragmatic people strategy that aligns commercial priorities with governance while transitioning the HR function from daily management to a scalable, data driven operation. The goal is to establish HR systems that create consistency across a distributed workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organizational design, workforce planning, employee relations, ensuring effective reward systems and leadership reporting are in place.
  • Oversee total reward, payroll, compliance and design training and development programmes to enhance management capabilities and overall business performance.
  • Hands on expertise in managing complex employee relations cases and driving organisational change.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Strong employee relations experience and profound understanding of UK employment law.
  • Successfully implemented an HR system (HRIS) and history of building or scaling HR frameworks, policies and processes.
  • Senior HR leadership experience (Head of HR or Senior HR Manager) in a multi site, operationally led business, including facilities, hospitality or retail.
  • Proven track record of partnering with senior leadership and influencing at the executive level.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing HR systems, data, reporting and people metrics to support commercial decision making.
  • Experience overseeing payroll processes and effective collaboration with third party providers.
  • Capabilities in leading organisational change, workforce planning and organisational design.
