Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Marine Civils Contracts Manager to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering specialist marine and waterfront infrastructure projects. This is a permanent position based around Ringwood and surrounding areas.

The company delivers a range of marine and coastal civil engineering works including quay walls, sheet piling, cofferdams, jetties, flood defence schemes, and heavy reinforced concrete structures. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple live projects across the South Coast region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple marine civils projects from pre-construction through to completion

  • Manage Project Managers and site teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification

  • Lead contract administration under NEC and/or JCT forms of contract

  • Manage client relationships and attend progress meetings

  • Oversee commercial performance alongside Quantity Surveyors

  • Monitor programme performance and drive recovery where required

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards

  • Support tendering and pre-construction planning when required

  • Provide technical leadership on complex marine engineering packages

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within marine civil engineering

  • Strong background in marine structures such as sheet piling, quay walls, cofferdams, or coastal defences

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Good understanding of NEC contracts

  • Strong commercial awareness and cost control experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering (preferred)

  • SMSTS (essential)

  • CSCS Card (essential)

  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
