We are currently recruiting for an experienced Marine Civils Contracts Manager to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering specialist marine and waterfront infrastructure projects. This is a permanent position based around Ringwood and surrounding areas.
The company delivers a range of marine and coastal civil engineering works including quay walls, sheet piling, cofferdams, jetties, flood defence schemes, and heavy reinforced concrete structures. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple live projects across the South Coast region.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee multiple marine civils projects from pre-construction through to completion
Manage Project Managers and site teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
Lead contract administration under NEC and/or JCT forms of contract
Manage client relationships and attend progress meetings
Oversee commercial performance alongside Quantity Surveyors
Monitor programme performance and drive recovery where required
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
Support tendering and pre-construction planning when required
Provide technical leadership on complex marine engineering packages
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within marine civil engineering
Strong background in marine structures such as sheet piling, quay walls, cofferdams, or coastal defences
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Good understanding of NEC contracts
Strong commercial awareness and cost control experience
Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering (preferred)
SMSTS (essential)
CSCS Card (essential)
Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
