Freelance Quantity Surveyor (QS) - Groundworks & Civil Engineering
Location: Canterbury (Freelance, Outside IR35)
Rate: Up to £550 per day

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in groundwork and civil engineering? We're looking for a skilled freelance QS to join a dynamic project team based in Canterbury. If you have a proven track record in groundworks and are ready to take on a challenging project, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and monitoring project costs from inception through to completion.

• Preparation of accurate and timely cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.

• Conducting site measurements and valuations for groundwork and civil engineering projects.

• Overseeing procurement and sub-contract management.

• Ensuring compliance with contracts, regulations, and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in groundwork or civil engineering projects.

• Excellent knowledge of groundworks, site works, and associated costing practices.

• Strong ability to manage budgets, contracts, and project timelines.

• A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Experience working on projects outside IR35 is preferred.
