This is a chance to work on multi-axis grinders, mills, and lathes, using your expertise to deliver top-quality precision components every day.

Key Responsibilities of the CNC Grinder:

  • Reading blueprints, process sheets, and sketches to determine machining requirements
  • Setting up and operating multi-axis CNC grinding and milling equipment
  • Selecting tooling, calculating feeds & speeds, and machining a variety of metals including steel, copper, brass, aluminium, and bronze
  • Downloading, editing, or writing CNC programs as needed
  • Performing quality inspections using precision instruments and gauging devices
  • Applying lean manufacturing principles to reduce setup times and improve throughput
  • Cleaning, finishing, and preparing components for shipment, including oiling, wrapping, and boxing
  • Ensuring all components meet exacting specifications

What Youll Bring:

  • Time-served apprenticeship or SVQ/NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years experience on CNC machine tools in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Established experience with Rotary Table Grinder, CNC Table Grinder, or 5-Axis CNC Grinders
  • OR strong multi-axis milling experience (Correa, Doosan, or similar)
  • Skilled with control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain, or Haas
  • Proven ability to hold ultra-tight tolerances (
  • Experience with precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges)
  • Ideally, experience in power generation, oil & gas, aerospace, or similar sectors
