Job Description

A client of ours in the Enfield area are recruiting a Trade Compliance Officer to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working 37.5 hour week Monday - Friday and paying a negotiable salary depending on experience.

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including Data Protection and Anti-Bribery requirements.
  • Promote adherence to corporate ethics, policies, and procedures across the business.
  • Act as the subject matter expert and provide guidance to employees on compliance matters.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise the business on their impact.
  • Review compliance-related contractual matters in the UK and internationally.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, processes, and preventive controls.
  • Conduct third-party due diligence, risk assessments, and support compliance throughout contract lifecycles.
  • Manage data protection obligations, including DPIAs, records of processing, privacy advice, and subject access requests.
  • Deliver compliance support, reporting, investigations, and audits as required.
  • Assist with training, stakeholder engagement, and fostering a strong culture of compliance.


Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Trade Compliance Officer position:

  • Acts with the highest level of integrity.
  • Previous experience within a similar compliance role essential.
  • Experience within the defence and military industry or similar international environment.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills,
  • Effective communicator
  • Confident in highlighting unresolved issues and risks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
