The business has a turnover of circa £8M - £10M and delivers a diverse range of projects across commercial, industrial and public sector sectors, typically within a 1-hour radius of Bristol. Schemes range from £500k to £2.5M and include both groundworks packages and commercial build projects.

Quantity Surveyor Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE
• Car allowance

• 22 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 27 with service)

Quantity Surveyor Job Overview

• Manage the commercial aspects of multiple groundworks and commercial build projects (£500k - £2.5M)
• Preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts
• Procurement and negotiation of subcontract packages
• Management of subcontractor accounts, variations and payments
• Cost planning, forecasting and monthly reporting
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
• Liaise with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
• Work closely with Site Managers and Directors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor within a contractor environment
• Groundworks contractor experience preferred, although candidates with strong groundworks exposure from other sectors will be considered
• Experience working on projects between £500k - £2.5M advantageous
• Strong understanding of JCT contracts
• Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and organisational ability
• Full UK driving licence
• Based within commuting distance of the Bristol area

This role is open to established Quantity Surveyors as well as strong Assistant Quantity Surveyors looking to step up into a QS position within a supportive and growing business.
