Job Description

Our client based near Glasgow are recruiting for a Compliance Officer for a 12 month fixed term contract to assist and advise shore-based companies on ISO standards, Business Continuity, GDPR compliance, shore-based health and safety, and auditing functions.
The Compliance Officer will also be responsible for assisting and leading (when appropriate) with the maintenance and development of the Company s Safety Management System. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT Essential
  • Quality management, internal auditing health and safety and NEBOSH experience
  • Proven experience working in an auditing role
  • Database management skills
  • Familiarity in a Quality Officer / Assurance role
  • Understanding of health and safety in the workplace
  • Good organizational, analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously
  • Proven ability to work to targets and deadlines
Desirable
  • Experience of working within the Marine/Shipping Industry
  • Degree or suitable Diploma or equivalent in a related discipline
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • The management, implementation and improvement of electronic quality and safety management systems, including training in the use of Preparation and undertaking of quality-based training to ensure business needs are met and understood.
  • Assist with the implementation of the change management processes including document management systems.
  • Providing an audit function for shore-based business units, including management of audit plans and close out requirements.
  • Preparation and analysis for relevant management review meetings, for the applicable ISO standards and data compliance, in addition to the preparation of management statistics for ISO compliance and business needs.
  • Assist with management of company archive / storage procedures.
  • Carry out OHSE / Data Security inspections for shore-based locations.
  • Preparation and implementation of company Business Continuity documents.
  • Assist in preparation of internal memos, safety, and security circulars.
  • Conducting risk assessment OHSE and Information security.
  • Assist with accident / incident investigation and follow up actions.
  • Conduct employee inductions and training in HSE matters
