Essential Criteria

1. An Honours Degree (2:2 level or above) in Politics or a related subject like History (Politics must be a joint or major component).
2. A secondary level teaching qualification in Politics/ History as recognised by the Department of Education by 31 st August 2026.
3. A minimum of 1 year's experience of teaching GCSE Politics. (Student placement year is acceptable).
4. A written statement of how you can support the College's integrated and inclusive ethos.
5. Ability and willingness to contribute to the extra- curricular life of the school.

Desirable Criteria

1. A minimum of 1 year's experience of teaching A Level Politics. (Student placement is acceptable).
2. Experience of teaching History (Student placement year is acceptable).

The Board of Governors reserves the right to refine the criteria. The subject teacher will also be required to act as a form teacher.
