Part Time Teacher of English to GCSE Level (3 days per week)

(Temporary until 30 June 2027)

Essential Criteria

1. An Honours Degree (2:2 level or above) in English, or a related subject. English is a main or joint component.
2. A secondary level teaching qualification in English as recognised by the Department of Education by 31 August 2025.
3. A clear written statement of how you can support the College's integrated and inclusive ethos.
4. A minimum of 1 year's experience of teaching English to GSCE level (student placement is acceptable).
5. Ability and willingness to contribute to the extra- curricular life of the school.

Desirable Criteria

1. One year's experience of teaching GCSE English, post qualification.
2. Ability and/ or willingness to teach general subjects at Key Stage 3 Level as per experience.
3. Experience of teaching Essential Skills Communication Level1 and/or Level 2.

The Board of Governors reserves the right to refine the criteria for shortlisting purposes.
