Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Recycling Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting, processing, and managing recyclable materials in a safe and efficient manner. The position is a hands-on role.

Responsibilities

• Sort and separate recyclable plastic materials according to company standards.
• Operate recycling machinery and equipment safely, adhering to health and safety protocols.
• Load and unload materials manually or using mechanical aids, ensuring proper handling of heavy items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the recycling area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Follow all environmental regulations and company policies regarding waste management and recycling procedures.

Requirements

• Prior experience or knowledge of plastic recycling machinery & industry is an advantage but not essential. As full training can be given to the right candidate.
• Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and carry out manual tasks involving lifting and bending.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in sorting processes.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Awareness of health and safety standards related to industrial waste management.
