Title: Independence and Wellbeing Officer
Salary: £25,878 - £27,148 per annum FTE - Depending on Skills and experience
Hours: 33 hours per week (£23080 - £24213) Location: Sandwell
Contract: Part time - Fixed Term - 3-year contract Essential: Full UK driving licence + access to an insured vehicle for business use
We're seeking a compassionate Independence and Wellbeing Officer to provide one-to-one, strengths-based support to parents with learning disabilities, helping them build confidence and independence. You'll work in partnership with an Advocacy Practitioner from a partner organisation, internal colleagues, and alongside Sandwell Advocacy and Communities in Sync as the funder, to deliver coordinated support tailored to each family's goals.
ResponsibilitiesParents with learning disabilities often face barriers that affect their confidence, wellbeing, and ability to engage with services. Your support will help them build skills, strengthen routines, and create positive, safe home environments where families can flourish.
