Southall Farm & Inn - January General Manager

Southall Farm & Inn is seeking an exceptional January General Manager. This role is responsible for upholding the highest standards of luxury hospitality, with a particular focus on Forbes level service excellence and Michelin caliber hospitality, in alignment with Southall's Michelin Green Star recognition. The January General Manager will oversee all front of house and guest facing operations, ensuring seamless service delivery across the Inn, dining venues, and signature weekend experiences, including Country Brunch and Afternoon Tea.

Responsibilities
  • Champion and actively teach Forbes Five-Star service standards and Michelin service principles to all relevant team members
  • Ensure service culture reflects refinement, warmth, and precision consistent with Michelin Green Star values of sustainability and thoughtful hospitality
  • Conduct daily service briefings, coaching sessions, and hands on floor leadership to maintain consistency and excellence
  • Oversee daily operations of the Inn and guest facing outlets
  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest readiness throughout the property
  • Collaborate closely with culinary, events, and farm teams to ensure cohesive guest experiences
  • Directly oversee weekend Country Brunch and Afternoon Tea service, ensuring flawless execution and memorable guest experiences
  • Coordinate staffing, service flow, reservations, and guest pacing for high volume weekend services
  • Ensure menus, presentation, and service rituals align with Southall's luxury brand standards
  • Serve as the primary on site leader for guest satisfaction and service recovery
  • Proactively engage with guests to anticipate needs and resolve concerns with grace and discretion
  • Foster repeat visitation and strong word of mouth through personalized hospitality
  • Lead, inspire, and hold teams accountable to elevated service expectations
  • Model professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail at all times
  • Support onboarding and ongoing training of seasonal or rotating staff during January operations
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by Southall leadership
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of luxury hospitality management experience, preferably in Forbes or Michelin recognized properties
  • Demonstrated experience training teams in Forbes and Michelin service standards
  • Strong understanding of refined dining service, including brunch and tea service formats
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead by example in a fast paced, high expectation environment
  • Passion for sustainability, thoughtful hospitality, and guest centered service
Education & Experience
  • 4 year college degree preferred, but combination of education and relevant position training and experience will be considered
  • Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs
  • Available to work weekends, evenings and/or holidays
  • Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods as needed and able to work in all weather conditions
