A leading global financial institution is seeking an experienced Senior Reward professional (VP level) to join its London HR function on a maternity cover contract. This is a pivotal role at the heart of the UK reward agenda ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced, data driven environment and has deep expertise from within investment banking.
You'll act as the go to reward specialist for UK HR teams, guiding them through the full annual compensation cycle, overseeing key regulatory and internal reporting requirements, and supporting senior management with high quality insights and analysis. You'll also play a major role in shaping and delivering several UK and EMEA reward processes, bringing accuracy, rigour, and strong stakeholder management to everything you do.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior reward role with real visibility, influence and impact. You'll collaborate closely with HR leadership, Compensation committees and global reward colleagues, while playing a key part in shaping the reward landscape for the UK business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on reward advisory activity for the UK, including benchmarking, pay analytics, and gender diversity insights.
- Own the UK compensation review process, ensuring systems, data and governance run smoothly from preparation to final delivery.
- Oversee the reward technology for the UK population (including data quality, access management and financial validation).
- Monitor and manage UK salary pool allocations and support global mobility reward processes.
- Co ordinate salary and bonus submissions, ensuring accurate and timely upload into core HR systems.
- Prepare materials and analysis for senior compensation committees.
- Manage deferred compensation validation and payment processes across UK and EMEA groups.
- Lead the UK's participation in annual external benchmarking surveys, including reviewing submissions, analysing results and preparing data uploads.
- Oversee statutory and group reporting requirements such as Gender Pay Gap, Women in Finance reporting, Top 10 earners analysis and other regulatory disclosures.
Key Skills and experience
- Extensive reward experience within a complex financial services environment.
- A strong track record of managing annual compensation review cycles.
- Hands on experience running benchmarking processes and interpreting market data.
- Robust understanding of forecasting, budgeting and reward governance.
- High proficiency with HR systems and databases, plus advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical ability and a meticulous approach to quality and accuracy.
- The capacity to juggle multiple deadlines in a high pressure, fast moving context.
