Overview

My client is a leading consultancy, seeking a Senior Sustainability & Energy Modeller to join the building services with a strong focus on sustainability. Based in the Oxford area, this role offers hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) to foster collaboration and team interaction.

Day-to-Day

  • Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements.
  • Conducting energy modelling and analysis using IES VE.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports and presenting findings to clients.
  • Leading team meetings and mentoring junior team members.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet sustainability objectives.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and innovations in sustainable building design.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct feasibility studies to assess energy performance and sustainability potential.
  • Prepare detailed energy assessments and reports to support project goals.
  • Utilize tools such as IES VE to model and design energy-efficient buildings.
  • Apply knowledge of Carbon, TM54, and TM59 standards to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Lead client-facing engagements, presenting findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 2-3 professionals, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability and energy modelling within the building services sector.
  • Proficiency in IES VE and a strong understanding of Carbon, TM54, and TM59 standards.
  • Proven experience in a client-facing role, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience, including managing small teams.
  • A mission-driven mindset with a passion for sustainability and energy efficiency.
