This is a remote position.

Tek is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer with experience in HVAC or architectural façade to join us at a pivotal stage of growth. Working directly alongside our Co-Owner/Sales Director, you will help shape sales strategy and play a leading role in driving new business and increased spend from existing clients.

This role offers unlimited territory and prospects, giving the right person genuine autonomy, ownership and the opportunity to make a measurable impact on business performance.

The Opportunity

This role is firmly focused on winning new business and developing deeper commercial relationships. You will proactively initially target and engage with Main contractors, Window companies & Façade contractors. With a longer term focus on developing relationships with architects and consultants to support early stage influence and sustained pipeline growth.

You will be expected to take ownership of your market, build momentum from the ground up, and turn opportunity into long term commercial relationships. There is no pre defined route map, success in this role comes from curiosity, initiative and the ability to spot opportunity before others do.

You will work closely with internal teams and customers to identify where Tek's products can add value, from early stage conversations through to order placement.

Working hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Location: Tek's head office is based in Wythall, South Birmingham. The successful candidate will be expected to attend the office on occasion for ad hoc meetings; however, this is primarily a remote role, with regular travel to client sites across the UK forming a key part of the position. The candidate needs to be based in the UK, and in reasonable commuting distance to our target client base.

Requirements

About You

  • A proven track record in sales roles where you have built momentum rather than inherited it
  • Comfortable working with autonomy and accountability, organising your own time and priorities
  • Previous experience working with main contractors, window companies and/or façade contractors (essential)
  • Experience engaging with architects and consultants (highly advantageous)
  • Established industry relationships you can actively leverage to open doors
  • Commercially sharp, curious and confident initiating conversations from a blank sheet
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to understand client challenges and propose effective solutions
  • Resilient, driven and motivated by results rather than instruction
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • High standard of written and spoken English
  • Numerate and confident working with figures
