Our Winning Team

Our purpose is to empower better lives through football. We are proud of the role City Football Group clubs play in their localities, delivering positive economic, social and environmental impact through our operations and through programmes and activities that bring about meaningful, lasting change.

City Football Group is seeking a Partner Clubs Video Scout to support player identification and recruitment activity across our global network of Partner and Asia Clubs. This is a football-focused scouting role, embedded within CFG's Global Football - Scouting & Recruitment function, working closely with Football Intelligence and regional scouting teams.

Based in Manchester, you'll play a key role in identifying, evaluating and recommending players using a blend of video analysis, data insight and market knowledge. Your work will directly support squad planning and recruitment decision-making for Partner Clubs operating in diverse and emerging football markets.

This role is ideal for an experienced scout or analyst who enjoys deep player evaluation, structured analysis and collaborative work within a multi-club football environment.

This is Your City

As part of our team, you will be entitled to 26 days annual leave plus an additional day off for your birthday, private healthcare and a Simply Health cash plan, an annual discretionary bonus, plus a range of partnership and lifestyle discounts.

Your Impact
  • Identify and longlist potential players for CFG Partner and Asia Clubs using data tools, scouting platforms and video analysis.
  • Apply CFG player models and recruitment frameworks to assess tactical, technical and cultural fit.
  • Produce detailed, evidence-based player reports aligned with CFG scouting standards.
  • Support the comparison, ranking and refinement of player options to inform shortlists and decisions.
  • Maintain accurate, structured scouting databases and longlists.
  • Work closely with Football Intelligence to interpret performance data within a football context.
  • Contribute feedback to improve scouting tools, metrics and identification processes.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Asian and emerging football markets, including player trends and regulatory considerations.
  • Communicate findings clearly to CFG and Partner Club stakeholders through reports, briefings and meetings.
What We are Looking For
  • Proven experience in technical scouting, player analysis or data-supported talent identification within professional football.
  • Strong understanding of performance data, scouting metrics and video analysis tools.
  • Ability to translate data and video insight into clear football recommendations.
  • Experience building and refining longlists based on tactical, technical and developmental criteria.
  • Strong knowledge of Asian and/or emerging football markets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence producing detailed reports.
  • Highly organised, detail-driven and comfortable managing multiple scouting assignments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and modern scouting platforms (e.g. Wyscout, StatsBomb, TransferRoom).
  • Familiarity with CFG scouting frameworks or player models and understanding of international transfer regulations and eligibility criteria (desirable but not essential).
