Global Sustainability Business Development Head

In this senior role, you will be at the forefront of Nokia's sustainability journey, engaging with top customers worldwide. Working closely with various teams, you will develop and enhance Nokia's sustainability value proposition, creating new business opportunities. As a key sustainability expert, you will guide regional teams and accounts, pushing the boundaries of co-creation and impacting sales and customer relationships.

Your responsibilities

Align global sustainability go-to-market strategy to Nokia's top accounts and sales strategy within the GSCO organization

Partner to orchestrate building impactful sustainability engagement plans through deep understanding of account sales strategy, customer sustainability priorities and Nokia's sustainability portfolio - advise account executives of potential white space that can be targeted by leveraging sustainability as a 'door opener'

Lead engagement with customer stakeholders to co-create initiatives that create a win-win to create deep advisory bond with customer for sustainability topics covering key focus areas including decarbonization, circularity, digital divide, supply chain, responsible use of technology

Support sales opportunities / RfPs by bundling sustainability value-based selling / initiatives into offers and answering sustainability requirements

Drive implementation of sustainability initiatives planned with the customer by bringing together cross functional teams from Nokia, its partners and the customer

Influence the creation of customer value proposition, content, engagement platforms as well as help shape communications that touch customers

Eyes and ears for competition claims, campaigns and activities with customers - close the loop with global to implement counter measures

Your skills and experience

Your skills and experience

Innovative, go-getter, co-creation minded business leader

Extensive experience in business development, solution development, pre-sales or sales operations, preferably in new solution areas related to sustainability impact

Understanding of technology/ telecom industry/ Nokia's value chain and sales & procurement processes

Experience in Sustainability and ESG areas is a plus

Ability to have engagements with C-suite customers

Ability to work across multiple organizations in a matrixed mode

Flexible, ability to travel for customer engagements

Key result areas

Net Promoter Score influenced by sustainability

Customer feedback on sustainability engagement and activities

Account executive feedback on support received

Funnel & conversion rate of opportunities supported (sustainability playbook / VBA / engagement / commercials)

Upsell / business development funnel created via sustainability engagement

Number of engagements with customer's sustainability stakeholders

Completion of planned customer initiatives linked to sustainability
