Job Description

The Company

This company provides single, multiple and full multidisciplinary services within the public and private sectors over the majority of industry disciplines. Their commissions range from large-scale new build and refurbishment projects to smaller value design, survey and construction work.

Sustainability is a central theme to all of their work. They can deliver innovative and practical energy saving designs or assist clients with reducing the carbon footprint of their existing building stock.

Their aim is to develop long term relationships with clients and as such they look to deliver excellence through their talented work force, operating in a flexible and reliable manner. Clients can access a comprehensive range of specialist skills through a single point of contact. Their approach helps to streamline projects and deliver better value for money.

They are a value led, people focussed practice providing clients with inspirational and practical design solutions; they exist to improve the communities in which we all live and work.

The Role:

Join a vibrant, forward-thinking multidisciplinary consultancy that delivers everything from large-scale new builds to specialist sustainability led refurbishments, offering a genuinely collaborative culture and real ownership in shaping engineered building solutions.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and grow the Building Services Engineering function, setting strategic direction and ensuring technical excellence across MEP and low carbon design.
  • Oversee project delivery and team performance, driving quality, profitability, and a culture of mentoring and accountability.
  • Strengthen client relationships and business development, securing repeat work and supporting sustainable growth.
  • Provide technical and design leadership on complex projects, particularly in energy efficiency and emerging technologies.
  • Foster innovation and continuous improvement to maintain the team's position at the forefront of design.
What they are looking for in the person
  • Chartered Building Services Engineer (e.g. CEng MCIBSE) or equivalent with extensive experience in consultancy delivery across multiple sectors.
  • Proven leadership of teams: commercial acumen, resource management, mentoring capability and track record of achieving profitability and quality.
  • Strong business development skills.
Benefits
  • Salary up to £90,000
  • Hybrid working: 2 3 days remote
  • Broader benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and festive shutdown, pension, health/ wellbeing support, socials through the year, and more.

Would you enjoy leading and developing a team where collaboration, trust, and mentorship matter just as much as technical excellence?

Are you motivated by working with people who care deeply about sustainable outcomes and take pride in delivering work that genuinely improves communities?

Does the idea of supporting others to grow, sharing knowledge, and building a positive team culture sound like the kind of leadership role you're looking for?
