Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Primary School, Support for Children with Complex Learning Needs

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team within a vibrant primary school located in the South Wales area. This full-time, long-term position is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive difference in children's lives and experienced in working with children requiring additional support due to complex learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support to enhance learning experiences for pupils across the school.
  • Collaborate closely with the Class Teacher to develop engaging and inclusive lesson plans.
  • Support children with challenging and complex learning needs, tailoring approaches to meet individual requirements.
  • Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment that encourages confidence and development.
  • Promote positive relationships with children, staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive learning setting.

Candidate Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children with complex learning needs or challenging behaviours.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, SEND, or childcare are desirable.
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive attitude towards supporting children s development and inclusion.

Job Details

The SEN Teaching Assistant role is a full-time, long-term position, working Monday to Friday, from 8:40 am to 3:40 pm. The role offers a minimum daily rate of £90. Candidates must be committed to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for pupils with diverse needs, including those with special educational requirements such as EBD and SEND.
