Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to work for a leading principal contractor delivering rail projects across Network Rail and TfL frameworks. The role requires a process-driven operational leader to oversee multiple projects and manage a team of Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of a portfolio of rail projects across NWR and TfL.
- Line manage and oversee Project Managers, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery.
- Drive programme governance, controls, and reporting across all projects.
- Ensure compliance with NWR / TfL standards, safety, quality, and assurance requirements.
- Manage risks, change control, and performance against programme, cost, and KPIs.
- Act as a senior interface with clients, internal teams, and supply chain partners.
Essential Experience:
- Proven Programme or Senior Project Management experience within rail infrastructure.
- Experience working for a principal contractor on Network Rail and/or TfL projects.
- Strong people management and operational leadership capability.
- Highly process-driven with excellent governance and control skills.
- Experience managing multiple live rail projects concurrently.
- Knowledge of GRIP / PACE / TfL Pathway or similar frameworks.
