SEN Teaching Assistant - PMLD & Complex Needs

Contract: Full-time, long-term

Pay: 95- 115 per day (DOE)

We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs in a primary school in Liverpool

This role is ideal for someone with a care, residential, healthcare or support worker background who wants to move into a school setting.

• Full-time, long-term TA role in a specialist PMLD unit
• Supporting a small group of pupils with high physical, medical and sensory needs
• Helping with learning, communication, sensory activities and play
• Providing personal care (feeding, changing, toileting)
• Using hoists and equipment (full training provided)
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and medical staff

• Have experience in care, support work, residential settings, healthcare or SEN schools
• Are confident (or willing to be trained) with personal care and moving & handling
• Are calm, patient and resilient
• Can commit Monday-Friday, term-time from January 2026
• Have the right to work in the UK and are happy to complete an enhanced DBS

• A stable, long-term role in a highly supportive specialist setting
• Full training on equipment and communication approaches
• Ongoing support from a specialist SEND consultant
• 95- 115 per day, depending on experience
